The Daily Mail's Paris correspondent says that at a dinner of the Paris branch of the British Legion, General Weygand said: "Neither France nor Britain alone could stop war in Europe but together they could do this, thus guaranteeing European peace and abolishing war. The only obstacle is the difficulty of a mutual understanding and more points of contact are requisite."
