Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report that at their stoclc sale at Matamata ia full yjarding of fat and store cattle and a medium yarding of sheep came forward to a full bench of buyers, and the whole yarding changed hands under keen competition, with prices fully up to late rates. Following are the prices realised: — « Heavy fat cows, £4 15s to £5; medium fat cows, £3 to £3 15s; light fat cows, £2 to £2 12s 6d., heavy fat heifers, £4 15s to £5 4s; medium fat heifers, £3 to £4 10s; light fat heifers, £2 to £2 17s 6d; boner cows, 30s to £2 15s; light boner cows, 20s to 27s 6d; fresh conditioned 4-year steers, £4 18s; 3-year steers, £3 15s; good quality yearling heifers, £2 12s to £3; smaller sorts, 30s to £2 5s; springing Jersey heifers close to profit, £5 to £5 5s. service bulls, £2 10s to £4 15s; potter bulls, £2 5s to £4 10s. P-heep: — (Five and 6-year ewes with 100 per cent lambs at foot, 16s 9d all counted; fair quality store lamlbs, 12s lld to 15s; small store lambs, very young, 8s. Pigs. — A heavy yarding of fat and store pigs came forward the whole entry changing hands under good competition to a full bench of buyers. Wle sold a line of 50 baconers on account of Mr. W. E. Ayers, which averaged £2 14s 6d. Heavy baconers £2 12s to £2 16s; medium baconers, £2 8s to £2 12s; light baconers, £2 2s to £2 7s; heavy porkers 37s to 41s; medium porkers, 32s to 36s; light, 28s to 32s; best stores 23s to 27s. slips, 16s to 23s; best weaners, 16s to 18s 6d; smaller weaners, 10s 6d to 15s 6d.
