Sydney, Nov. 24. The weekly wool lettcr in the Syd- j ney Morning Herald says that competition at this week's auctions was well distributed and brisk. Yorkshire, French and Japanese operators bought freely and German, Belgian and Italian in a kss degree. The marketing circumstances have been gratifying, pointing to the contmuance of highly-satisfactory sellmg conditions. This week's catalogues did no-t contain as many high-class wools as the earlier offerings, _ but hulky saies under the hammer indi- j eated buoyancy of values. i Many of th'e choicer clips made an average, ranging from 19 d to 24d for all classes of fleece to locks. On a clean scoured basis, seventies warp, spinners' fleece wools realised j 40d on the floor Sydney stores; good seventies 38d; seventies, topmaking, 35d; 64-70's, spinners' fleece wools, 37d; 64-70 top making 34d; sixtyfours spinners', 35d. average, sixtyfonrs, top making fleece, 33d.
