SOLICITOR - GENERAL'S ACTION NOT SUPPORTED BY COURT DECREE GRANTED

Wellington, Thursday. • ' The rejection of the intervention of the Solicitor-General in the undefended divorce suit of Charles Hector Hopkins against Theresa Marie Ilopkins was announced in a reserv.ed . judgment by Mr. Justice Reed this morning. The Solicitor-General had inter-, vened on the ground that material facts were insufficient to affect the . petitioner's case, therefore the decree would not be rescinded. in further observations the judge declared that the law relating to inr tervention had not been placed before the Court — namely, that the per titioner had committed misconduct since the separation upon which the decree nisi made in May, 1933, was based. The judge held that the pe.- - titioner had withheld the fact in ignoranee. No costs were allowed. . .
