. Wellington, Thursday Advice has been received by the Vacuum Oil Gompany that Mr. C. T. P. Ulm camiot leave on Friday, but will leave iat the first favourable opportunity, depending on the weather. Ulm- will almost certainly land at New Plymouth. ..."Mr. Ulm is very confident ahout the flight to New Zealand/' said C. Claude . Smythe, . Flight-Lieutenant C. T. P. Ulm's manager. "Ever since he came back from England he has heen doing everything to ensure ■safety. There has been a long overhaul, but outside an alt-eration in the tankage there has been no change made in the 'plane. Het will probably make the ffight at 100 to 105 miles ■an. hour ,and should he able to do it comfqrta-bly in 12 h'ours." The "Faith in Australia" has a petrol capacity of 700 gallons, and an endunance of 2360 miles, or 221 hours. She has a- wing-span of almost 75 feet and th'e three engines are Wright Whirlwinds of 240 horsepower each.
