London, Nov. 22. The Australian Rugby League team, the Kangaroos, defeated London Highfield by 20 to 5, after leading 10 — 2 at half time. Merritt, the New Zealander, once made a great effort along the touchline but wias tackl-ed into touch. :On another occasion the New Zealander came right across from the opposite wing, but was dragged down in the goal-mouth by Gardner, who made a 60 yards' run.
