NEW TEIRMS OFFERED BUT PAYMENT IN STERLING

(Rec. 7.20 p.m.) London, Nov. 23. Holders of the city of Dunedin 4 and 4£ per cent stock maturing on January 1, 1934 have heen offered the right to convert with a new 41 per cent loan for 15 to 20 years at par. It is announced, categorically, that the new bonds are payable in London in sterling. It is stated that borrowers could re-borrow locally on better terms but are deterred by the exchange loss.
