MAJESTIC THEATRE

TO-NIGHTr iFilmgoers on the lookout for a pie- ' ture which will please all classes of ' patrons are certain to enjoy the pre■sentation of -Gainsborough's "The Faithful Heart," which opens at the Majestic Theatre to-night. The g'eneral appeal of this picture lies in the happy circumstance that ' not only it is adapted from. a notable play by Monckton Hoffe, that enjoy- ' ed amazing success, but that it stars ' two of the best-liked players of stage and screen, Edna Best and eHrbert Marshall. In "The Faithful Heart" these two popular players have, parts ideally suited to them, in a tale which' strikes a new note in "triangle' 'dramas. Edna Best in her p.athetic portrayal of the child between, recalls to the mind vividly her unforgettable performance in "The Constant Nymph." In "The Faithful Heart," however, her destiny is far happier, for she sails the high seas with the newly-found father, whom she ■ obviously adores. Anne Grey, at present in a number of British productions, has an important part in the picture, and her dark beauty is an- excellent foil for Edna Best's fair loveliness. Herbert Marshall, who enacts the role of a soldier who achieves distinction during the Great War, will greatly please his numerous "fans," to whom he is already something of a national h'ero. The vivid scenes in Buckingham Palace, where he is seen receiving his decoration, are realistic and nteresting. In themselves, they represent something of a technical triumph.
