The Government meteoroToflTst la•ued the following weather report and forecast laet night:— General situation: An anti-cy-clone still covers New Zealand while a slight depression is advancing across the South Tasman. Conditions are disturbed over eastern Australia. Winds: Moderate southerlies in the far north ; elsewhere moderate to strong north-westerlies backing again to southerlies in many plaees. Weather: Fine in most districts. Some isolated showers likely, mainly in the southern and western parts of the South Island. Temperatures warm. Following ara the barometer, maxlmum and minimum thermometer, sun•hine, and rainfall readings recorded at the Government Observation Station by the Rotorua Tourist Department for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. yesterday.
