COLLEEN'S LETTER
COLLEEhh
Dear Kiddies, I had one of my biggest post-bags this week, for both the Seniors and Juniors were most energetic. The junior competition, I arn afraid, v/u'o a little easy, but the Seniors put ;a. lot .of work into their essays on his-. torieal eliaracters. Some vemarkably good entries were reeeived in this sectmn, £ Though sorne of yoa construed p.x.ih^sion to use a textbooi: z little l:bera>ly. I think you will find both of this week's competitions interesting aua I hope that you will giv(-i . Mr. Fostie c-ven more work this week. Don't you think the gramophone competition is becoming incecesting: it looks like a very close finish, as the racing people say. There are
only two more weeks now for the competition closes on the 30th. To-day was the last day for the Christmas competitions and I have nearly two drawers full of entries, so that I am going to have a lot of wcrk sorting them out. But I thmk our page should reward us all for our work when it is finished. I am still trying to finalise details about the party, but I will be able to tell you something definite about it next week. You are all sitting for your proficiency cxaminations .at the present time, I know, so it will be an anxious week. Vey good luck to you all and I hope those terrible Examiner Men Tin.vp Rp.pn kind t.n vrnu.
