EDUCATION iBOARD REFUSES TO ALLOWi TEACHERS TO ACT WORK FOR UNEMPLOYED

Nelson, Friday. The Nelson Education Board has given instructions to teachers that it will not sanction their acting as deputy-returning officers or poll clerks at the Buller by-election. The chief electoral offieer to-day made further representations to the board which' decided unanimously, in view of the fact that there are over 1000 unemployed in the Buller county many of whom are well qualified to act, not to reverse its decision.
