FAMOUS HEBREW COMEDIAN IN THE STARRING ROLE. : INTERESTING CLIMAX. "Money Talks," the high-spirited comedy showiing next Saturday, No- ! vcmber 25, at the Majestic Theatre, is the first starring vehicle of that inimitable Hebrew comedian, Julian. Rose, who appears as Abe Pilstein. Abe and his daugihter Rosie run a j dress shop in Magenta Street, but business is so bad that Schnitzer, their wholesaler, sells them up. Hymie Burkowitz, an old friend and rival, I sorry for Abe,,gives him £500 for the good wiill of his business, but Rosie believes he is behind all the trouble
and snubs Hymie's son, Morris, who is in love with her; ' " • ^Abe inoVes to a boSardittghpuse Wher.e he learns he Will inherit a fortune from a rich aunt providing he is penniless when the legacy arrives from America, in 30 da.ys'" time. At his wits' endto know what to do with his £500, Abe finances the "dud" i schemes put forward by his f ellow 1 boarders, who include a broken bookie, an undertaker, a theatrdeal manager land a young boxer, Jimmy Dale, who has also fallen in love with Rosie. Unfortunately all the investments turn out suceessfully and the money rolls in, but at last Abe gets rid of it only to discover that his legacy has been swept away in a bank failute. Stunned and penniless, Abe wonders what to do next, when he rememibers he wagered his last £500 on Morris, his old friend's son, to win a fight agUinst Jimnly Dale. Rosie is distracted for she has promised to marry the winner, .and Morris, whom she really loves, is considerably the lighter of the two, , The tense climax of this comedy, which culminates in a terrific boxing match and — a wedding, will keep filmgoers enthralled, as Abe's comical eiforts to lose his money will convulse them. Supporting' Rose is Judy Kelly, the vivacious B.'I.P. protege, as his daughter; Kid Berg, the famouS boxing champion, makes his screen debut as Mbrris, and Griffiths Jones, anoth'er newcomer, appears as Jimmy Dale.
