Relief Workers' Holidays

Owinig to the fact that the standdown week in Rotorua falls on one of the week's set aside as holidays for relief workers. it h'as been decided in accordance with the procedure followed last year, to put back the stand down period. Normally this would fall on the week ending December 30 but it will now end on Decemlber 23. A-bout this date, the men will he paid two weeks' wages for the itwo holiday weeks ending December 30 and January 6. Th© men will therefore cease work on December 23 and will not resume again until January 8, they will be paid two weeks' wages as holiday pay during this period.
