DRAMA AT BLAZING FARM

TRAPPED WITH FRANTIC HORSE In a farm fire which caused £3000 damage at Stretton Grandison, Hereford, England, recently, a rescuer was trapped in a horse-box, a pedigree bull was hurned alive, and apples growing across the road were roasted on the tree. But for plucky rescues by a farm hand, Albert Parry, other animals would have been lost. He dashed into the blazing building and relaased livestock, having a narrow escape from death in the bull's stall. He then rushed to the stables to l release the horses, and was trapped in a horse-box with a young rnare, who kicked the door shut in her frantic struggles. Working desperately in hlinding smoke and with flames coming through cracks in th'e still he got the door open in the nick of time and savcd the mare.
