A series of five floating lariding fields across the Nqrth Atlantie were projected to-day with fhe initial appropriation of 1,500,000 dollars for experimental purposes, One float of h'alf the specified size is to be constructed and if it pro.yes feasible, other s are to be built the fujl size at a cost of 30,000,000 dollars and a regular America-Europe aeroplane service is to be inaugurhted. The spepifieations provide for platforms 1200 feet long and from 150 to 300 feet wide. The flo'ats will he anch'ored to the ocean floor with 1500 to.n weights.
