In the unfettered liberty of demo•c?acyj political parties have sprouted like mushrooms, 99 different parties being represented by 2077 candidates for 470 seats at Sunday's general elections. Socialists and Communists are setting an example in bloe soli^There are widespread disturbances jn connection with the elections. Bombs exploded near an electric power station at Corunna 'and put the city in darkness. A group of men surrounded a girl distributing Rightist propaganda at Malaga and were threatening to strip her when the police arrived. A number of street jightr. have occurred in Madrid between opposing groups. A strike of shop assistants at Barcelona spread effecting 7500. The strike is accompanied by win'dow smashing. Many arrests have been niade.
