Thc Times devotes a lengthy editfcorial to- the standstill in Geneva and asks cannot the Government (get back to the position from which success pj-actically seemed in sight. It asks what is the best offer Cabinet is prepared to make Germany now. Cannot they, either by the old diplomatic methods and circular disp&tch, or by a statement at Geneva, deelare to> the world what they themselves believe would be a fair solution of the deadlock. Pre-vision land cour&ge alone can now prevent the wreckage of a noble and practical plan. Cannot Cabinet decide to-day to demonstrate to the world that they possess these qualities.
