GRAND THEATRE

TO-NIGHT. Buck Jones, outstanding star among the virile Western heroes of th'e screen, eomes to the Grand Theatre to-night, as another courageously stalwart son of the glorious old West in his latest Columbia picture, "Sundown Rdder." Packing more excitement, suspense and plot than any other picture Jones ever has made, "Sundown Rider" presents Buck in a chiaracterisation of a' youth who never forgets to repay an injury or a kindness. Throughout the film he has numerous chances to right wrongs and to punish the rascals who have done him harm. When he is unjustly branded on the chest for cattle thievery, Jones seeks to punish the men who have done him this wrong. When a man is shot dead under circumstances which implicate Buck for his murder, Jones then heads for Texas, where, in a fight against terrific odds, he bests the efforts of a group of desperate men and saves a pretty girl's ranch. Thia.t wonderful white horse, Silver, who always appears in Jones' pictures, has an exceptionally prominent role in "Sundown Rider," helping Buck to win the race against the sun and get to the bank with the money to save his sweetheart's nanch. Barbara Weeks, the brunette actress who has been Jones' heroine in his last two films, "Wjhite Eagle" and "Forbidden Trail," is again his leading lady in "Sundown Rider." Others in the strong cast are Wheeler Oakman, Bradley Page, Niles Wtelch, Ward Bond, Pat O'Malley, Frank La Rue and Ed Brady.
