NEW PADDLE MODEL CAN FLY BOTH FORWARDS AND BACKWARDS.
London, Saturday. Claimed to be capable of flying backward at 19 m.p.h. and forward at speeds of from 12 to 124 m.p.h., the Rhoribiack fpaddle 'plane is about to be constructed in England, reports the. aeronautical correspondent of The Times. The 'plane' is lifted and propelled hy rotating wings on either side, and has a very low landing speed. Fullsized models have not yet been made, but wind tunnel tests have heen satisfactory.
