SECURING WHEEL CAPS

The 'large type of whe;el-cap, which' first became popular two years ago and has since been widely adopted, is frequently the unsuspected sourae of an annoying and persistent rattle. Unless the outside edge of the cap is properly fitted into the groovie in which it should be seated, and the central securing bolt tjightly fixed, the cap will rattle when th'e car is in motion. It is a wise precaution for owners of cars which havie the large caps to tigh'ten the securing bolts from time to time, as they work loose occasionally, and in some cases the caps have been lost altoge'ther. Replacements are fairly expensive, and a wheel with one of the big caps missing is unsightly.
