T-he Board of Trade's return for October eompared with the corres- | ponding period the previous year 1 shows : — Imports .... £61,771,000 Experts .... £34,130,000 Re-exports £4,571,000 ; The principal increases were: Im- ] ports: — Wlood iand timher, £864,000; raw co-tton, £679,000; wool, £716,000; hides and skins, £389,000. Exports. — • Coal, £239,000; wool, £170,000; iron and steel manufactures thereof £566,000; non ferrous metal and manufactures, £482,000; cotton yams and manufactures, £356,000; woollen ditto, £363,000; other textile manufactures, £351,000. Decreases — Jmports: Grain and flour, £722,000. food and drink, £1,516,000.
