Paris, Nov. 12. Vandals with hammers nearly de-: molished a bronze statue of M. Briand set amid Normandy fields at Trebeurdan. The statue, which is larger than life size, showed M. Briand accepting an olive branch from a child in its mother's arms, while a crippled soldier was -beseeching him to make wars impossible. ,
