Following improvements to the paths and bridges the Waiotapu Thermal Reserve has been taken over by Capt. Walker, late of Tikitere, and is now open to visitors. The Waiotapu Reserve is one of the most interesting thermal areas and at the same time one of the least known in the locality and its opening provides another outstanding tourist attraction for the district. The following scale of charges is being made: Adults Is 6d and children 9d (conducted) ; Is and 6d respectively (unconducted).
