GRAND THEATRE

TO-NIGHT. George O'Brien cornes back to the screen after a six-month tour of Europe in "Life in the Rav/1," the n.w Fox romance which opened last night at the Grand Theatre. It is a Zane Grey story that once again unites the foremost writer ,and the premier player oi Western film stories. "Life in the Raw" is reported as a combination of the o.utstandmg elements in popular adventure romance. It depicts the .arrival of an inexperienced Eastern girl into the midst of frontier hazards and intrigues. And it reveals the true emotions of a group of people who, impressed by the wide-openness of western territory, feel that they need no longer hide their true feelings. The film has a number of hairraising features, not the least of which are the riding and the fighting of O'Brien himself. A number of the finest horsemen in the film colony has been recruited for some of the best and rnost exciting riding ever witnessed on the screen. Claire Trevor, a newcomer to the screen, is the new" leading lady introduced by O'Brien in this picture. Miss Trevor comes from the New York stage, where she was last seen in the leading role of "The Party's Over." She will best be remembered for the leading part opposite Ernest Truex in the stage production of "Whistling in the Dark."
