TO-NIGHT. Sherlock Holmes has a juvenile counterpart in Junior S-eott, self-styl-ed Sherlock Jr., who outwits a bigtown smart aleck crook with his ' small-town clever "deteckatiffing," providing some thrilling action in the intriguing theme of "Mlan Hunt," now at the Grand Theatre with Junior Durkin, Charlotte Virginia Henry and Mrs. Wallace Reid in the cast. Junior Scott is typical of a realm of American boys who aspire to track down a big criminal and h'ave their names blazed across the nation's newspapers. He always bears a flashlight, m.anacles, magnifying iglass,, and the inevitable assistant, this time the coloured comical Abrahah. Junior sleuthes while working plans while eating, prepares while drinking and arrests while dreaming . ! . until he gets himself fired from the last available job in the town. Into Junior's small town life come a jewel thief, a murder er and a girl. The girl is his sweetheart and the daughter of a jewel theif who is murdered hy his accomplice who seeks the entire loot of stolen gems. With only a wig as a clue, which he purloined from the dead man's hand, Junior seta out to capture the murderer. The police scoff his assistance but he worms his way to disentangle the entire mystery and wm the girl and the 10,000 dollars reward. Junior Durkin is a convincing young detective with Charlotte Virginia Henry in support as the girl. Others cast under Irving Cumming's direction include Mrs. Wally Reid, Richard Carle, Arthur Vinton, Edward eL Saint and Arthur Hoyt.
