W.D.F.U. BRANCH CONSIDERS MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS RURAL LIGHTING CPIARGES Members of the Ngongotaha branch of the W.D.F.U. met on October 20, the president, Mrs. C. Florey presiding. Mrs. H. M. Martin's report of 'benevolent work done during the past three months was most encouraging. The Church of England ladies offersd to donate proceeds of the next sale on November 2 towards the Restroom Fund. It was decided to hold a competition among children of the district and a prize will be given a.t the November meeting to the child witk largest number of white ibutterflie s destroyed during. the month. It was also decided to give a fancy dress ball to the children of Ngongotaha and surrounding distriots on November '10 and a carnival dan.ce for adults in aid. of division funds on January 1, 1934. The secretary was asked to write to the Tourist Department asking it to explain the reason for the rural ' charge of ls 6d monthly on all electtric light charges. 'Competitions were won by Mrs. W. Davies, Mjiss Moule and Mirs. C. H. Rbbinson. A plant exchange will take place next meeting.
