BOBBIE PEARCE TO MEET THE AMERICAN CHAMPION

Ottawa, Oct. 27. Bobbie Pearce, the present world's champion professional sculler, intimated on Friday that the long-herald-ed race between himself and Bill Miller, of Philadelphia, the United States amateur champion, may possibly be held next S'eptember at the Canadian National Exhibition, Toronto. The present plans, Pearce said, would be to pit Major Goodsell, of Los Angeles, against himself, and Miller against Eric Phelps, of London, the winners to meet in the final.
