GIFT OF LAND
Auckland, Saturday A gift of 48 acres of land at Waitakere has been made to the City of Auckland by Mr. John Alexander, C.M.G. . ^ ^ The land is bush-clad and is part of an area which was much admired by Sir Arthur Hill, Director of Kew Gardens, London, Sir Arthur recommended that as much as possible of it should he presedved for all time.
