(Rec. 7.30 p.m.) Angora, October 28 The Soviet, is presenting Turkey with five fighting planes commemorating the tenth anniversary of the Republic, while Turkey is celebrating with three days' holiday. The arrangements reflect the striking testimony of the reforms, Kemal Pasha taking the salute at a parade of soldiers, sailors, police, boy scouts and students on the Angora _ racecourse. Houses throughout the city are glowing with illumination. A National Anthem, specially written, extols Kemal Pasha's leadership and medals bear-

ing his head are selling at sixpence. An official summary of the national progress shows that a £48,000,000 unfavourahle trade balance in 1926 had been convert.ed into a £15,400,000 favourable balance in 1932. Turkey is connected with 32 cities by aii rnail. . Numerous inteimational guests, included M. Voroschiloff, who arrived escorted hy Soviet cruisers. The British Government sent a congratulatory message to Kemal Pasha.
