London, Oct. 27. The east coast gale is causing the worst storm for 25 years. Hundreds of tons of cliff collapsed at Lowestoft sending gardens tumbling into the sea and leaving houses within a few f eet of the cliff's edge. Thirty-feet Avaves washed the roof oif the pier of the pavilion at Scarborough, where the sea fropt is littered with chimney pots and tiles. _ Bridlington Bay is crowded with ships seelcing shelter.
