THE COMPETITIONS
FOR NEXT WEEK. 'Seniors, I have just discovered that you have not really shown me what you can dol in the way of writing verse. The Juniors have done very well but so far the Seniors havehad only their limerick competition. They were so successful in that that I am sure we sh'all hav© some excellent entries in an' unrestricted competition for any type of verse — limericks included, hnmorous or otherwise. BUT it must be original. Gramophone points depend on it, too, this week. • The Juniors hav© always shown a lot of imagination in their entries, so this week I am asking1 them to write an exciting story for me aboui an adventure either on sea or land. Make it as thrilling as you like, for i we needn't be restrained by dull facts. There will be a lovely book prize for the winner.
