Tha Govsrnment metaoroloplst itaued the following weather report and forecast Caet night General situation: The depression mentioned yesterday is now loeated to the east of the Dominion, but a second one is approaching across the south Tasman. Forecast: Winds westerlies to south-westerlies, moderate to strong generally in places, reaching gale force. Backing shortly to west or north-west at most places, but later again hecoming southerlies. Weather: Changeable with showers at first in western districts, late rain becoming more general with snow on the higher levels. Temperatures becoming colder. Following are the barometer, maxlrrium and minimum thermomeier, sunshine, and rainfall readings recorded at the Government Observation Sta« tion by the Rotorua Tourlst Department for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. yesterday. Barometer 29.838ins. Thermometer (niax-) 67.0deg. Thermometer (min.) 49.8deg. Thermometer (min on grass) 43.6d'eg. Rainfall Nil Bright Sunshine 11.9jhrs.
