DEDICATION OF NEW CHURCH HALL ON FRIDAY

(Arrangemjents have been made to perform the ceremony of dedicating the 'Reporoa Church Hall on Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock. The Rev. James Aitken, M.A., will conduct the dedication assisted by the Venerable Archedacon F. W. Chatterton and the Rev. J. G. Laughton. The hall will be for the use of both P'akeha and Maori. •A sievere h'ail storm was experienced here on Sunday afternoon. Frosts were sharp on Mionday and Tuesday morning and on Wednesday there was a hard wh'ite oue. Reporoa is to suffer a still further loss, in the departure of Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Lowry and family. They are removing to go into business in Takapuna. A farewell social is to be givery them on Wednesday. iMlr. and Mrs. Lowry came into the •district nearly 20 years ago, in the service of Mr. E. E. Vaile. More recently they havie been farming Orangikereru. M]rs. Lowry will be missed as the pianist at most of the dances.
