TWO ROTORUA TEAMS PLAY GAMES AT MAMAKU ENJOYABLE OUTING Yesterday two' Rotorua Crickelt Association teams played holiday matches at Mlamaku and despit© fhe cold conditions some excellent perf ormances weria registered and a most ©njoyaible day was spent. T'he Rotorua members of the team were entertained in a fine mannler by the Miamaku players and their supporters, rwho displayed a pleasing keenness for the sport and, as the result of their efforts, firmly i1a-es-tablished the game in the country towns'hip. The club has spent a considerable sum dn the purchase of new igjear and has prepared a wicket which is second to none in thle distriet. The Rotorua A team batted first and compi'led the fine total of 235 runs by generally bright batting. G. Simmonds (Miamaku) made a valuable 56 and Beckett (40), Reed 39 (not out (Mamaku) .and J. R. Alexander (47) also played sterling innings. The B team replied with 174 runs, Lunn (32), Sutherland (49) and Lewis (45). Price (Mamaku) played a good bat for a not out score of 14 runs.
