CARNERA OUTPOINTS OPPONENT IN 15 ROUNDS NOT TOO POPULAR

-By Telegraplx — Copyright).

Rome, October 22. In the presence of the Italian Prime Minister, Signor Mussolini, Primo Carnera, world heavy-weight boxing champion, easily outpointed Paolino Uzcudun in 15 rounds, retaining the championship. Carnera was superior throughout, smothering his opponent's only serious opposition in the second round. Uzcudum was bleeding from the eyes and nose in the sixth, and aftei that Carnera monotonously accumulated points, brushing blows aside almost contemptuously. The huge crowd was rather displeased tbat the Italian giant's punches lacked finish and drive, and did not greatly incommode Uzcudum. Although the cable states that the bout was for the world championship, tbe statement is open to challenge. When he won the title Carnera contracted tb. fight his championship bouts under tbe direction of the Madison Square Garden Corporation, which recently vetoed a proposed bont between Carnera and MeCorkindale in Rome for the title. Uzcudum tbe Masque boxer, who has not been a serious championship contender for the past two years, was substituted for McCorkindale.
