A rather deep depression covers south-east Australia. Winds: Moderate to strong decreasing easterlies at first north of Greymouth and Kaikoura. Elsewhere light to moderate hut freshening. .Nortlierlies extending north of Cook S'trait to-morrow. Weather : Some showers at first on the East Coast between Cape Palliser and East Cape, otherwise fine hut hecoming unsettled to-mor-row on the West Coast and in the •far south. Temperatures cold with many frosts.
