ALLEGED THEFT

A MAN ACCUSED OF . DRAWING FRIENDS MONEY Auckland, Thursday Hugh Claney McCready (32), printer, was committed for trial on a charge .of staaling £100, ithe properity of H. C. MJcIntyre. The evidenee showed that bofh were patients in the public hospital, and Mclntyre confided that he had £100 to collect from the Public Trust Office. Accused volunteered to collect it for him, and Mjclntyre gave him an order, and also ienifc Muru an overcoat and gave him £1 to buy a wallet. He never saw accuised again till he was in court to-day . The police said aecused t.old them he had spent all the money exeept fivepence. (Accused pleaded not guilty.
