Singapore, Oct. 18. When Mr. C. T. Ulm reaehed Calcutta, he was 24 hours ahead of Sir Charles Kingsford Smith's time. He reaehed here this afternoon and left at 6 p.m. for Sourabaya — an all night journey. Mr. Ulm aiid party left for Sourabaya 7.15 p.m. (local time) being then seven hours ahead of Sir Charles Kingsford Smith's record. Ulm stated it would depend on the speed of his getaway from Sourabaya whether he could break the record, •' but there was not much hope. -
