HINDENBURG'S ASSURANCE

Berlin, Oct. 18. The new ambassador, Sir Eric Phipps, who has been Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary at Vionna since 1928, presented his credentials to the President, Marshal Ilindenburg, who replied agreeing that international co-operation was necessary at present and in the future. He assured the ambassador of his anxiety for friendly AngloGerman relations.
