Forecast: Winds. Moderated southwesterlies still prevailing north of Kawhia and Napier; moderate to strong westerlies thence southwards, gradualjy tending to 'north westerlies. Weather: For the most part fine and miid, but some scattered showers likely in western districts from Taranaki .southwards. Following are the barometer, maxlmum and minimum thermometer, sunshine, and. rainfall readings recorded at the Government Obsetvation Station by the Rotorua Toiirist Department for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. yesterday.
