A VALUABLE DRAWING

WORKING MAN'S WINDFALL. A parcel of old prints and photographs bought -'n a small shop in South' London for 2s 6a by a worlcing man was found to contain a valaable I drawing, which was sold at Sotheby's afterwards for £280. The drawing, which is no bigger than a postcard, was ideritified as an original sketch hy Gentile Bellini, and was bought by Messrs. Colnaghi, the art dealers. The drawing is a rough sketch made hy Bellini in 1496 for his famous picture, "The Procession of th'e Relic of the Holy Cross in the Square or St. Mark's," now in the Academy at Yenice.
