SCAPA FLOW SALVAGE

TO BE CONTINUED BY ANOTHER FIRM. Although Cox and Danks, Ltd., the salvage experts, announced that the operations in connection with raising the scuttled German fleet at Scapa Flow had ceased with the salving of the battle-cruiser Van der Tann, it is now learned that the remaining ships of the German fleet will be raised by another firm (states an exchange). Metal Industries, Ltd., a Glasgow concern, which with headquarters at Rosyth, has earried through the brealdng-up of all the capital ships salved by Cox and Danks, are to un~ dertake the salvage of the 18 German vessels — nine battleships and four cruisers — still submerged at Scapa Flow. The tonnage represented by these ships is about 200,000 tons. Before the work starts Metal Industries Ltd. will undertake a complete survey of the submerged vessels.
