HUNDRED AND SEVENTY ON ROLL BUT 207 VOTED.

Melbourne, Saturday. A hallot box scandal has been revealed at the Melbourne University by a blackboard announcement of a 122 per cent. poll, at faculty elections. It has been discolirered that 207 votes were polled at the engineering election, although there are only 170 electors on the roll. A scond count has also revealed that 37 votes cast for one candidate are in the same handwriting and in fictitious names. The matter has been dealt with by the elections commdttee of the Students' Representative Council, and an appeal by unsuccessful candidates is likely.
