MAJESTIC THEATRE

, TO-DAY AND TQ-NIGHT. Those who are tired of the stark realism of life, the Depressioii- — aren't we all? — will finda welcome relief in •seeing "The Cohens and Kellys in Trouble," the Universal laugh riot co-starfing George Sidriey and Charlie Murray, which opened last night at the Majestie Theatre. And anyone f who has a sense of humour will find 1 laughter galore in the sea-going comedy, these seventh of the "Cohens and Kellys" series. Sidney and Murray have a splendid supporting cast, which adds imuch' to the production which may be called, without exaggeration, the best of the Sidney-Murral series. Among those who.add to the .laughs are "gravel-throated" Andy Devine, the inimitable Jomyna Howland, Maude Fulton and Henry Armetta, while Frank Albertson and Maureen O'Sullivan lend eonvincing portrayals as ' the young lovers. The story concerns Patrick Kelly, tugboat captain, and Nathan Cohen, retired business man, who comes to see him after an absence of many. years. The men are just startjng to have their fun when a young revenue officer falls in love with Kelly's daughter, unibeknowest. to him — and Kelly hates revenue officers. Kelly's exwife also appears to collect back alimony, the men are suspected of rumrunning, and a general complication starts the action off. There are yachting trips, rum-boat chases, and plenty of other excitement as the plot comes to a more or less happy ending.
