SALVAGE WORK AT SCAPAFLOW
TO BE CONTINUED BY ANOTHER FIRM Although Cox and Danks, Ltd., the salvage experts, announced that the' operations in connection with raising the scuttled German Fleet at Scapa Flow had ceased with the salving of tho battle-cruiser Van der Tann, it is now learned that the remaining ships of the German Fleet will be raised by another firm (states an exchange). Metal Industries, Ltd., a Glasgow concern which, with headquarters at Rosyth, has carried through the breaking-up of all th'e capital ships salved by Cox and Danks, are to undertake the salvage of the 13 German vessels — nine battleships and four cruisers — still submerged at Scapa Flow. The tonnage represented by these ships is about 200,000 tons. Before the work starts Metal Industries, Ltd., will undertaake a complete survey of the submerged vessels.
