HASTINGS MAN TO STAND AS LIBERAL-LABOUR CANDIDATE

Napier, Saturday. Mr. H. lan Simson, a well-known resident of Hawke's Bay for many years, announces his candidature for the Buller seat at the forthcoming by-election as a Liberal-Lahour candidate, basing his platf orm on the policy of the late Mr. R. J. Seddon. Mr. Simson has had considerable experience on various local bodies in the province. He was formerly mayor of Hastings, and chairman of the Hawke's Bay Rivers. Board, and previously contested the Hawke's Bay seat in the Liberal-jfeahour interests.
