BIG SAVING

AIR MAIL AND N.Z. Wellington, Sunday. Steps were taken on Saturday which definitely indicate the time when New Zealand will be linked hy a d'irect air service with Britain. It was decided to make a contribution by this country towards the cost of the air mail service, which is about to be commeneed from Great Britain to Sydney via Karacki. Even without a service across the Tasman, it is estimated that if good steamer connection is made this will result in the saving of no less than 1.8 days in the period of transit hetween England and New Zealand.
