Impressive Panels

Nine of the thirteen panels which are being carved by the Maori School of Arts and Crafts at Ohinem.iitu for th'e assembly hall of Te Aute College are now conipleted and ranged against the wall of the carving house, make an Impressive display. The panels represent one of the most extensive works of carving undcrtaken in the Dominion and are particularly fine examples of the carver's art. They stand 12 feet in heig'ht incorporating many striking designs which have each a special signifieance according to the runes of Maori carving'.
