has hopes of smashing kingsford smith's record TRIP IN FOUR DAYS

(Rec. 9.55 p.m.) London, October 13. Mr. Ulm left Feltham to-day on his first stage to Australia. He is aceompanied by Messrs Jack Allen, P. G. Taylor and J. G. N. Edwards, of London (wireless operator). The Daily Herald says that Ulm the Unlucky is out to smash Sir Charles Kingsford Smith's reeord and proposes to reach Australia in four hops, with a maehine capable of making 3500 mile hops. He hopes to reach Australia in four days. He will do much night flying.
