deputation waits upon minister with remits

Wellington, Thursday. A deputation of members of the executive of the Power Boards' Association waited upon the Minister of Public Works this afternoon and presented the remits passed at the recent conference of power boards. The president of the association, Mr. J. A. Nash, M.P. stressed the urgency for legislation and said that they were unable to get such legislation. They might have to consider the advisability of the association" continuing to carry on. The Hon. J. Bitchener assured the deputation that he was keenly intereSted in a number of the remits and promised to confer with Cabinet with a view to bringing down legislation.
